Humpty Dumpty Sat on a Wall

The weather finally cooperated and allowed the concrete crew to pour the basement walls and piers on Monday, Feb. 23.

The piers provide support for the sub floor for the first level of the house. It all looks great! Scott wanted to write his name in the concrete, but by the time we got out there it was already too hard :)








The concrete forms came down today, Feb. 24. All looks good.

Campfires and S'mores!

Upon driving out to look at the progress on Sunday, Feb. 22, we were alarmed to discover the neighbor had accidentally caught the field on fire! We arrived to find blazing and smoldering acres. After the flames died out, we realize it's really a blessing in disguise! The ticks are gone and the new growth will be fabulous this spring. Two fire departments and about 50 volunteers helped provide a most satisfactory controlled burn!
